All players, parents, and coaches are bond to these codes of conduct through the agreement signed when registering as a CYFC member.
PARENTS AND SPECTATORS
As a parent and spectator of Collingswood Youth Football, I will conduct myself in a manner that is in agreement of the organizations principles and interests. I promise to:
1. Remember that the players are young people and receive benefits from the mental messages that can be applied to life.
2. Remain seated in the spectator area during the games. Do not enter field area unless pre-authorized by Collingswood Youth Football and Cheerleading.
3. Respect decisions made by contest officials.
4. Be a role model by positively supporting teams and by not shouting instructions, criticism, or threats to the players, coaches, officials, or Board members. Do not coach from the stands!
5. Make no derogatory comments, gestures, or threats to players, coaches, spectators of the opposing team or our team, officials, or league administrators, and anyone on the Collingswood Board or Committees.
6. Remember that coaches and parents set the example for the behavior of their team’s fans. If you see fans of your team behaving in a negative manner, please try to appeal to their conscience at an appropriate time.
7. Follow the facility rules of the organization set forth by Collingswood High School.
8. Be responsible for the well-being of my children before, during, and after the games.
9. Treat the facility within the proper guidelines in a respectful manner.
10. Return all equipment that is issued to me by Collingswood Youth Football and Cheerleading in the mandatory timeframe.
11. Never to address a coach during, or after a game with an issue. If there is an issue you must present it to the Board of Executives within 24 hours of the incident. The Board will present it to the Review Board, who will hear all sides during a hearing following the incident. A judgment will be made 72 hours after the hearing.
12. Abide by the Boards decision.
13. Do not incite ill feelings by expressing negativity towards any and all members, participants and decisions of CYFC at any time or any place.
PENALTIES
Any spectator who displays poor sportsmanship may be removed from the facility by an official, their team coach, a league official, or the host of the game, league rep, Board member, or appointed overseer of the event by CYFC. Any spectator who interferes with the conduct of an activity, at the discretion of the spectator’s organization, and league, can be barred from attendance at subsequent athletic activities. Complaints regarding violations of this code shall be first brought to the attention of the appropriate Board Members for proper assessment and penalties. In the event of refusal to follow instructions of CYFC members or repetitive infractions may result in legal actions or expulsion from the program. Coaches, participant’s spectators may be placed on probation or suspended from activities for their actions. I (We) have read the Code of Conduct. Players Code of Conduct
As a player of Collingswood Youth Football and Cheerleading, I promise to
1. Treat opponents with respect; shake hands prior to and after contests.
2. Respect the judgment of officials and abide by the rules of the contest.
3. Accept seriously the responsibility of representing your family and the Organization by displaying positive behavior at all times.
4. Play in a positive manner, reflecting core ethical values. Physical and verbal abuse will not be tolerated! Racial slurs of any kind will not be tolerated!
5. Treat my equipment given to me by Collingswood Youth Football and Cheerleading with respect and return it in the same condition it was loaned to me. If there is damage from use in the season I will bring it to my coach’s attention as soon as I notice it.
6. Attend all practice when able.
7. Support my coach’s decisions and fellow player’s efforts.
8. Will not leave the field of play during game time unless informing the coach first.
9. Maintain my efforts in school and follow my parent’s instructions in doing so.
10. Stay out of trouble on and off the field during the season.
11. Wash my uniforms.
12. Give my best effort and attitude at all times.
13. No fighting, no behavior that will tarnish the principles of Collingswood Youth Football and Cheerleading.
PENALTIES
Any player ejected from a game because of unsportsmanlike conduct will be suspended from the next game and may be subject to additional penalties by the Review Board. Any player found breaking any of these rules set forth will be subject to appropriate punishment found by the Review Board. Complaints regarding violations of this code shall be first brought to the attention of the appropriate Board Members. Coaches, participant’s spectators may be placed on probation or suspended from activities for their actions. I (We) have read the Code of Conduct. I (We) agree to follow these guidelines in my (our) participation in all activities.
Coaches Code of Conduct Agreement
As a representative of Collingswood Youth Football and Cheerleading, I will follow the following guidelines in the best interest of the organization:
1. Set a good example for participants and fans to follow, exemplifying the highest moral and ethical behavior.
2. Respect the judgment of officials, abide by the rules of the event;
3. Treat opposing coaches, participants, and fans with respect;
4. Coach in a positive manner, including giving kids messages for life as well the field
5. Make sure all children are participants.
6. Promote organization events and attend in the name of good faith in support of Collingswood Youth Football and Cheerleading.
7. Be present at practices, varsity games, and Junior Varsity games.
8. Help out with game day preparations, and all game day duties at all levels.
9. Responsible for documenting the distribution and collection of equipment and uniforms
PENALTIES
Any coach ejected from a game because of unsportsmanlike conduct will be subject to leaving the facility when the violation occurs. Persons empowered with this decision are game officials, Board members, League Reps, and security and safety officials. Further action will be considered by the review Board. Any coach who physically abuses an official will be asked to leave the facility and must contact the Board of Executives regarding the incident, while within 24 hours following up with an email of the details to the incident to the Board of Executives. The incident will be sent to the Review Board for further actions to be determined after 72 hours from the date of the incident. Any coach who verbally abuses another coach, player, or spectator in any manner (swearing, racial slur, etc.) will be subject to suspension, based on the findings of the Review Board. Complaints regarding violations of this code shall be first brought to the attention of the appropriate Board Members. Coaches, participant’s spectators may be placed on probation or suspended from activities for their actions. I (We) have read the Code of Conduct.
